2013 FASCAR Driver Safety Equipment Rules
REQUIRED IN ALL DIVISIONS EXCEPT STRICTLY STOCK . ALL ARE REQUIRED TO ENTER THE RACING SURFACE.
A. 2006 or newer SNELL approved or newer helmet and have visible sticker for inspection. Helmet can be no older the 5 years. If it is not dated or if it is older, it will be at the discretion of FASCAR Officials. Head and neck restraining devices are highly recommended.
B. Complete fire suit, gloves and shoes. Fire suit must not be torn nor have any holes.
C. Driver’s window must be equipped with safety net with quick release-latch at top left corner. String window nets will not be permitted. The minimum net size must be 22” wide and 16” high. When latched, the window net must fit and pull tight.
D. Commercially manufactured aluminum-racing seats with rubber pads mandatory. Dual right and left head restraints are recommended.
E. Safety harness must be approved and not older than 3 years. If older, it will be Officials decision.
F. Resilient padding designed for roll bar use must be installed on any roll cage
member which can be reached by any extremity of the driver while driver is
normally seated with restraints fastened. Steering wheel must also be padded.
G. Fully charged Fire extinguisher mandatory. On board fire system is mandatory in super late models and is highly recommended for all other divisions.
H. A battery disconnect switch is mandatory and must be easily accessible to the safety crew and driver. “ON” and “OFF” must be labeled clearly to be seen by the safety crew from outside the car.
